About The Company

Yalo offers a conversational AI platform that helps businesses provide customers delightful experiences on their favorite messaging apps, such as Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp. We are in a rapid growth stage where we need to move fast while delivering a high-quality service. As the Finance and Administration Manager, we are looking to you to optimize financial operations and administration and keep the company perfectly organized. This is a full-time position based in Mexico City.



Accounting and Reporting

  • Manage all company financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, taxes, and treasury.
  • Maintain financial records and ensure we have accurate monthly financial statements for our parent company and subsidiaries in a timely and efficient manner. While bookkeeping is currently outsourced, you would be responsible for overseeing relevant vendors and would absorb or supervise Accounting when transitioned to be done in-house.
  • Consolidate or oversee the consolidation of global results and generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Prepare financial reports to investors and management.
  • Develop, manage, and improve internal controls.
  • Prepare or oversee the preparation and filing of organization’s tax returns and other filings
  • Create an execute readiness plan to prepare for external auditing.
  • Create and monitor company budget.
  • Keep abreast of, understand, and be accountable for compliance with applicable laws regulations, and contract terms and conditions.



  • Lead efforts to establish subsidiaries in other countries as needed. This involves researching legal and tax requirements and taking any necessary actions until subsidiaries are fully operational.   
  • Liaise with and manage contract with external legal counsel for the prompt and effective resolution of all company legal needs.
  • Support human resources management, including recruitment, especially while recruitment for a People Operations Manager is still in progress.
  • Manage vendor contracts.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred. Degrees in other fields, such as Finance, Economics, Business, or Law, can be considered when accompanied with a very strong foundation in Accounting and directly relevant experience. Master’s degree or specialization in tax law desired.
  • At least 4 years of directly relevant experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Proficiency with Quickbooks Online and Aspel COI or equivalent software.
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail.
  • Integrity, honesty, and alignment with Yalo’s core mission and vision, as well as exceedingly good judgment, and entrepreneurial spirit. Can do, roll up sleeves attitude, willing and able to undertake projects that may stretch beyond scope, if need be.  
  • Able to work effectively and sensitively across cultures and geographies.
